Ed, I listen to you every Sunday and I am a life long Dodger fan from my first game in 1956 to Jersey City in 1957. My recollection is short since I was only 5 and 6 at the time, but it was hard growing up in a Yankee neighborhood with me as a Dodger and my friend as a Giant fan. Most inportant, I am now a survior of prostate cancer. I was diagnosed in October and had my prostate removed in February of this year. Though there were complications my latest for my PSA was 0.001 which is a whole lot better than my 11 when diagonsed. It doesn't matter if you are an active person ( I thought I was in great shape) it just sneaks up on you. Keep promoting the need for tests and I will follow your word as gospal to all who will listen.
I am Ed Randall the host of the radio program Ed Randall’s Talking Baseball, which airs on New York's WFAN-AM Sunday Mornings and nationally on Sirius XM Radio's MLB Home Plate channel Saturday Mornings.
During my broadcast career I have called television play-by-play for the minor-league Brooklyn Cyclones and Staten Island Yankees, and served as a temporary Public Address announcer for the New York Yankees in the absence of Bob Sheppard.
I am a survivor of prostate cancer and founder of Bat for the cure www.batforthecure.com which is a charitable foundation which is dedicated to the prevention and education of Prostate Cancer.
